Professor Koonlawee Nademanee

Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok (Thailand)

Dr. Nademanee was professor of Medicine (tenure) at University of Colorado (1990) and University of Southern California (1995). He is currently Distinguished Professor of Medicine at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand and Director of Pacific Rim Electrophysiology research institution, USA/Thailand. He was awarded in honorary doctorate in Medicine from Mahidol University. He has published numerous original contributions in the field of cardiac arrhythmias and electrophysiology. He has made two important contribution: He was the first to appreciate the importance of CFAE in initiation and maintenance of AF and the first to identify right ventricular epicardium especially at the RVOT as the arrhythmogenic substrate of Brugada syndrome. In 2007, he was bestowed by King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand "Knight Grand Commander of the Most Illustrious of Chula Chom Klao".
