Assistant Professor Agnieszka Kaplon Cieslicka

Agnieszka Kapłon-Cieślicka, MD, PhD, FESC, is a cardiologist, a certified echocardiographer and assistant professor at the 1st Chair and Department of Cardiology, Medical University of Warsaw. She defended her PhD cum laude in 2012, and obtained her post-doctoral degree in 2017. Her current clinical interests and research focus on heart failure (including heart failure with preserved ejection fraction), atrial fibrillation and valvular heart disease. She is a co-author of over 100 publications indexed in PubMed with an IF of over 350 and a h-index of 21 (2023). She is President of the "Club 30" (young community) of the Polish Cardiac Society (2021-2023). She was a National Coordinator of the European Exam in Core Cardiology 2022 and 2023 in Poland. In 2022, she was awarded 1st place in the Polish "Supertalents in Medicine" competition.
