Biography
Dr. Shelley Zieroth is a Clinician-Scientist and Professor in the College of Medicine, Max Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, and cross-appointed to the Department of Pathophysiology and Pathology at the University of Manitoba. She is Director of Heart Function Clinics at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, Canada. Her research interests include heart failure and cardio-kidney-metabolic interactions. She holds leadership positions in international clinical trials and has enrolled many people in landmark clinical trials during her career. She has served Associate Editor at JACC HF, European Journal of HF and the European Heart Journal. Other leadership roles include co-Chair of the Canadian Heart Function Alliance Sex and Gender Working Group, Past President of the Canadian Heart Failure Society (CHFS) and she received the CHFS Annual Achievement Award in 2025. She has been a longstanding contributor and previous co-Chair of the Canadian Cardiovascular Society Heart Failure Guidelines.
