Fernando Belcastro was born in Buenos Aires in 1972. He is the son of José Eduardo (Pediatrician) and María Isabel (Teacher) He completed his studies at the Santa Rita Institute. Graduation with honors. In 1991 he began studying medicine where he received his degree with honors in 1996. In 1997 he began as a cardiology resident at the Cardiovascular Institute of Buenos Aires (ICBA). In 2001 he was elected chief resident. Since 2002 he worked as a staff physician in the cardiology and ultrasound service. In 2005 he was part of the Program at the Cleveland Clinic in Vascular Medicine and ultrasound. In 2006 he married Marina Lorena (pianist) with whom he had two sons, Bautista and Nicolas. In 2013 he was appointed head of the Vascular Medicine Program at ICBA. In 2023 he served as Director of the Vascular Medicine Council of the Argentina Society of Cardiology. He enjoys novels, music, run, Basketball and watching his children grow up.
