Dr. Candice Silversides is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto. She is specializes in pregnancy and heart disease, adult congenital heart disease and echocardiography. She is director of the University of Toronto Pregnancy and Heart Disease Program and the Obstetric Medicine Program. She is Research Director for the Toronto Congenital Cardiac Center for Adults. Dr Silversides is also Vice President of the Canadian Adult Congenital Heart Network. She co-authored the Canadian Cardiovascular Society guidelines on the management of adults with congenital heart disease and has been involved with a number of other international guidelines and consensus statements. Her research is primarily focused on improving the care of pregnant women with heart disease.
