Dr Erin Michos is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at Johns Hopkins University, with joint appointment in the Department of Epidemiology at the Bloomberg School of Public Health. She is the Director of Women’s Cardiovascular Heath & Associate Director of Preventive Cardiology with the Johns Hopkins Ciccarone Center for the Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease. Dr. Michos is an internationally known expert in Preventive Cardiology and has authored over 400 publications. Her research has focused on (1) CardioObsteterics and cardiovascular disease prevention among women, (2) coronary artery calcium and inflammatory markers for risk prediction, (3) lipids (4) vitamin D and supplements. She also has clinical expertise in advanced adult echocardiogaphy. She is the co-Editor in Chief for the American Journal of Preventive Cardiology & a Guest Editor for Circulation. Dr Michos is recipient of National Institutes of Health and American Heart Association funding.
