Mr Dinesh Kumar

University of Delhi, New Delhi (India)

Mr Dinesh Kumar is pursuing PhD in Biomedical Sciences from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Centre For Biomedical Research, University of Delhi, India (2015-2020) His focus of research is “Role of miRNAs in the pathogenesis of coronary artery disease (CAD)”. MicroRNA expression and their profiles are highly informative in order to help in diagnosis and prognosis of many diseases, as well as response to therapies and thus provides a distinctive opportunity to translate these understandings into clinical settings as miRNA-based biomarkers. His research work involves latest molecular biology technique/tools including real-time PCR, RFLP, Proteomics techniques such as western blotting and Cell-culture techniques such as transfection, inhibitor analysis through antagomiRs, luciferase experiments etc.

Assessing the functional role of miR-133b and miR-21 in THP1 macrophages and the expression pattern of their target genes at the protein level in coronary artery disease patients
