Professor E Douglas Lewandowski

Dr. Lewandowski's research focuses on both the metabolic basis and the metabolic consequences of heart failure. He is a Professor of Internal Medicine and Director of Translational Research in the Davis Heart and Lung Research Institute at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio, USA. He has held faculty appointments at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois, where he was Director of the Center for Cardiovascular Research, Harvard University Medical School and Massachusetts General in Boston, Massachusetts, and the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. A recipient of the 2022 International Society for Heart Research (ISHR ) Research Achievement Award and the 2023 Distinguished Investigator Award from the British Society for Cardiovascular Research, he is also a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the ISHR, and the American Heart Association (AHA).
