Born in Barcelona, he graduated in medicine from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2004. He did his residency in cardiology at the Vall Hebron Hospital (Barcelona). He completed interventional cardiology training at the Laval Hospital in Quebec under the supervision of Dr. Rodés-Cabau and Dr. Rinfret. In 2017 he presented his doctoral thesis, under the title "neurological damage associated with TAVI and therapeutic strategies for its prevention" obtaining the Cum Laude qualification. He currently works at the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona as an interventional cardiologist, and is the author of more than 70 original articles. His areas of expertise are chronic total occlusions, TAVI, tricuspid disease, heart failure, and device innovation.
