Professor Fadi Bitar

American University of Beirut AUB, Beirut (Lebanon)

Professor Fadi Bitar is the Founding Director of the Children’s Heart Center at American University of Beirut, the Ex-President of the Pan Arab CHD Association and the Co-founder of the “Brave Heart Fund”, a charitable fundraising initiative established to provide humanitarian assistance to children with CHD. He is the former Associate Dean for External Medical Affairs at AUBMC. Dr. Bitar introduced new procedures that were first of their kind in the world, and reported worldwide discoveries in the field of Pediatric cardiology. Prof. Bitar is the recipient of the Paul Harris distinguished model, Shield of Excellence" for Outstanding Humanitarian contributions in the medical field “and the “Diploma of the Knight of the honorary title "Name in Science“. Dr. Bitar has been the recipient of tens of national and international research grants. He published more than 190 peer review articles, abstracts, posters and book chapters.
