Scientific interests of dr. Vasilenko are based in field of internal diseases, cardiovascular disease, rheumatology, spondyloarthritis, biological therapy and other disease-modifying treatments in rheumatic diseases.
In September 2017 she started working on a dissertation titled “Differences in clinical response and disease features in patients with axial spondyloarthritis and high cardiovascular risk on anti-TNF treatment”.
One of the aspects of her thesis is the correlation between genetic factors and cardiovascular risks. Most rheumatic diseases have strong genetic predispositions with comorbid illness.
Dr. Vasilenko is familiar in the latest research and studies in the field of rheumatology and cardiology. She frequently attends Russian and international medical conferences and seminars.
