Biography
Dr Becker Al-Khayatt is a Senior Cardiology Registrar and Interventional Fellow at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust and a PhD candidate at King's College London's BHF Centre of Excellence. He qualified with honours from Imperial College School of Medicine in 2015, with dual degrees in Medicine and Cardiovascular Sciences, subsequently becoming a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2018. His doctoral research, supervised by Professors Divaka Perera and Amedeo Chiribiri, investigates the role of coronary microvascular ischaemia in the pathophysiology of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction. Prior to his PhD, Dr Al-Khayatt had contributed to cardiovascular research across coronary physiology and epidemiological outcomes, with multiple publications and international presentations throughout his career.
