Doctor Sven Thomas Niepmann

Sven Niepmann graduated from the University Bonn in 2016 and started his residency at the Heart Center Bonn, Medical Department II led by Prof. Dr. Georg Nickenig in the same year. He completed his doctoral thesis entitled "TNF production primes NLRP3 activation and metabolic disturbances" under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Veit. Hornung in 2017. Currently Sven Niepmann is supported by the Else-Kroener-Fresenius Foundation at the Medical Faculty of the University Bonn. His research focuses on the influence of the immune system in the development of aortic valve stenosis.
