August 23, 2019 Dr. Uri Elkayam- Bio Dr. Uri Elkayam, MD is Professor of Medicine and director of maternal cardiology at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. His former position have included, director of in-patient cardiology at the LAC/USC medical center, Chief of cardiology USC university hospital and director of heart failure program at the university of southern California. He is a fellow of the American heart association, American college of cardiology and the heart failure society of America and a former member of the executive counseling of his organization, a member of the guidelines committee. Dr. Elkayam is board certified in Medicine, cardiovascular medicine and advanced heart failure. His research interests include congestive heart failure, vascular biology, renal vasoregulation, cardiovascular pharmacology, valvular heart disease and heart disease in pregnancy.
