Biography
Professor of Cardiology at the University of Milan, he has been in electrophysiology and cardiac pacing field more than 30 years. Chief of the Heart Rhythm Center at Centro Cardiologico Monzino, IRCCS, Department of Biomedical, Surgical and Dental, University of Milan, he is actively involved in ablation, pacemaker and device procedures and in the teaching activity. He is also currently Visiting Professor at Texas Cardiac Arrhythmia Institute, Austin, Tx, USA and Honorary Visiting Professor at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Brussel. He published more than 400 papers and is PI in several current studies. His interest also ranges between clinical aspects of arrhythmias and genetics, molecular research of the patophysiologic mechanisms of different variety of atrial/ventricular arrhythmic disorders. Moreover, he is also Co-Director of Sport Cardiology at his Institute
