Associate Professor Frank Eberhardt

Dr. Eberhardt studied Medicine at the University of Cologne and St. Mary`s Hospital Medical School, London, UK from 1991 to 1997. He worked as a Research fellow at the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery at the University of Cologne and finished his doctoral thesis "Myocardial Stunning after CABG" in 1999. He trained as a cardiologist at the University of Luebeck from 1999 to 2007 (Prof. H.A. Katus and Prof. H. Schunkert). He was investigator in several device studies with a special interest in ICD algorithms and digital Signal detection. Further research focused on hemodynamic optimization of pacemaker and CRT Systems using PV loops. In 2008 Dr. Eberhardt continued his career at the Evangelisches Krankenhaus in Cologne, where he became head of the department of Cardiology in 2015. Dr. Eberhardt is assistant Professor at the University of Cologne and is reviewer of several peer reviewed journals. He has been P.I. in several studies in the field of device therapy.
