Doctor Antonia Sambola

Antonia Sambola, MD, PhD, FESC, is a cardiologist, clinical researcher, and Associate Editor of the European Heart Journal – Acute Cardiovascular Care and the European Heart Journal – Quality of Care and Clinical Outcomes. Her research focuses on women's cardiovascular health, sex-specific cardiovascular medicine, acute coronary syndromes, and cardiovascular prevention. She has authored more than 130 peer-reviewed publications and has held several leadership positions within the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and currently chairs the Working Group on Cardiovascular Disease in Women of the Spanish Society of Cardiology (SEC). She is actively involved in international research collaborations, guideline development, scientific advisory boards, and medical education.
