Biography
Ibrahim Antoun graduated from the University of Aleppo with an MD degree in 2016. He is a UK-licensed physician and has been a Member of the Royal College of Physicians since 2021. He completed his PhD in cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Leicester in 2023. He currently works as a cardiology trainee in the East Midlands Deanery and as an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Leicester. He was awarded Fellowship of the European Society of Cardiology in 2025 and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles in cardiology, arrhythmia care, and non-communicable diseases in low- and middle-income countries. He is also a Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS).
