Biography
Dr Tom Butler is a senior lecturer in nutrition and health at Edge Hill University. He is a registered nutritionist with the AfN and dietitian with the HCPC and BDA, with a particular interest in diet quality during cardiac rehabilitation and heart failure. In 2012, he completed is PhD on the role of dietary macronutrients in the regulation of the cardiovascular remodelling process in response to aortic hypertension. Tom is the scientific officer for the British Association for Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation and also the lead for the Diet Working Group. He is also a committee member for the BDA Public Health Nutrition specialist group and member of the ACNAP Taskforce for Allied Professions.
