Dr Raj Khattar is a Consultant Cardiologist and Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Royal Brompton Hospital and Imperial College, London, UK. He has a particular interest in advanced echocardiography in the evaluation of coronary artery disease, valvular disease and heart failure. He has extensive procedural and teaching experience in stress and contrast echocardiography, trans-oesophageal echocardiography, 3-D echocardiography, and previously percutaneous coronary intervention. He has a post-doctorate degree in Medicine and holds Fellowships of the Royal College of Physicians, American College of Cardiology and European Society of Cardiology. He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications and multiple book chapters. He continues to maintain his teaching and research interests in advanced echocardiography, conducting workshops and giving presentations at national and international meetings on a regular basis.
