Doctor Zhinuo Jenny Wang

University of Oxford, Oxford (United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland)

Zhinuo Jenny Wang received her PhD in Biomedical Engineering at the Auckland Bioengineering Institute at the University of Auckland in 2018, where her thesis focused on using computational modelling techniques to personalise myocardial mechanical properties of heart failure patients. Following this project, Jenny did her first post-doctoral training with Associate Professor Alfonso Bueno-Orovio at the University of Oxford where she applied computational techniques to investigating electrophysiological characteristics of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy patients and their drug response, in collaboration with experimentalists at the University of Florence. Currently, Jenny continues her training at her second post-doctoral position (beginning Oct 2019) under Professor Blanca Rodriguez, where she models the coupled electromechanical mechanisms in post myocardial infarction patients, in collaboration with cardiologist at the University of Leeds.
