Doctor Sokrates Stein

PD Dr. Sokrates Stein grew up in Brazil, studied Biology at the University of Tübingen, Germany, received his PhD from the University of Zurich, and conducted his postdoctoral work at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland. From 2016 to 2020he was a research group leader at the Center for Molecular Cardiology at the University of Zurich. Since June 2020 he works as a medical advisor for Novartis Pharma Schweiz. Dr. Stein has a track record in basic cardiovascular research, with special focus on deciphering new molecular mechanisms that regulate atherosclerosis and to implement new translational approaches for cardiovascular diseases.
