Biography
Dr. Iram Murtaza is a Principal Investigator in the field of Signaling at Department of Biochemistry Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad Pakistan since 2008. She has a special interest in molecular mechanisms of Cardiovascular Diseases.
Dr. Murtaza's research group major focus is Biochemical signal transduction of Stress induced cardiovascular diseases and cancer. Her honors & awards include CAS excellent researcher awards, CAS International Young scientist award , advanced research fellowship grant from National Institute of Health and UT Health Science Center, USA , TWAS research grant and national competitive grants. She is an Editor of Wolters Kluwer's journal "Medicine" since 2014. In her lab major themes of research are based on elucidating endogenous molecular stress scavengers and miRNAs for their potential use as Molecular medicines in cardiac diseases and cancer.
