Assistant Professor Katharina Lechner

Priv.-Doz. Dr. med. Katharina Lechner is a physician, EECC- and board-certified cardiologist, and medical study lead at Helmholtz Munich and the KORA Study Centre at the University Hospital Augsburg. Her clinical expertise encompasses preventive cardiology, lipidology, hypertension and sports cardiology. Her research focuses on cardiometabolic prevention, atherosclerosis and lipoproteins, metabolic phenotypes, lifestyle-related cardiovascular risk, and the cardiovascular effects of environmental exposures, including temperature-related risks. Her current work investigates scalable, personalised prevention frameworks for potential use in public health. She is the medical lead of KORA Digital-Fit, a life-course-informed, digitally supported, person-centred intervention study aiming to prevent multimorbidity in ageing. KORA Digital-Fit is part of the European research and innovation project *Stay Healthy Through Ageing* (STAGE).
