Doctor Sheila Klassen

Dr. Sheila Klassen is a faculty lecturer at Harvard University in the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine. She is also a community cardiologist and echocardiographer in Lethbridge, Canada. She completed her cardiology training at the University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and her advanced echocardiography and research fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. She subsequently completed a global health fellowship at Harvard University. She has been involved in global health research since medical school. Her clinical and research interests include valvular heart disease, epidemiology of heart disease in marginalized populations and cardiac care delivery in low income settings.
