Doctor Tuomas Kilpelainen

Tuomas Kilpeläinen is an associate professor at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research, University of Copenhagen, where he leads a research group studying the genetic underpinnings of human obesity. Before moving to his current position in Copenhagen, Tuomas completed a PhD at the University of Kuopio, Finland (2005-2009) and a postdoc at the University of Cambridge, UK (2009-2011). In 2015, he was a visiting researcher at the Icahn School of Medicine in New York, USA.
