Dr Benoît M.-Labbé is a Consultant Cardiologist at the Quebec Heart and Lung Institute in Québec City, Canada, and is currently undertaking a clinical and research interventional echocardiography fellowship at the Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust in London, UK. He was awarded the McLaughlin Fellowship Grant and the Detweiler Travelling Fellowship in 2019. Dr M.-Labbé’s major research interests lie in percutaneous mitral valve repairs, transcatheter aortic valve replacements and their associated echocardiographic imaging. Dr M.-Labbé graduated MD and MSc in experimental medicine at Laval University, Québec City, Canada, in 2013. He trained afterwards in internal medicine and adult cardiology. He became Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 2017 and Fellow of the American College of Cardiology 2019. Amongst others, he is an active member of the ESC Council on Valvular Heart Disease and the Canadian Society of Echocardiography.
