Dr Adnan Nadir is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist and Associate Professor of Cardiology at University Hospitals Birmingham, UK. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, the European Society of Cardiology and the American College of Cardiology. He completed advanced fellowship training in interventional cardiology and structural heart disease at Mount Sinai Heart Hospital, New York. Dr Nadir specialises in transcatheter treatment of structural heart disease, including TAVI and transcatheter mitral and tricuspid valve interventions. He leads a high-volume, minimalist transcatheter heart valve programme recognised nationally for excellent outcomes and established regional mitral and tricuspid valve repair services within a multidisciplinary Heart Team model. His research interests include valvular heart disease, heart failure, and procedural optimisation, with publications in leading cardiovascular journals. Outside work, he enjoys skiing, running, and cycling.
