Interventional cardiologist and intravascular imaging specialist Dr. Kanovsky completed cardiology training at University Hospital Brno, Czech Republic, which is the second largest hospital in the country. He also completed interventional cardiology training there and defended PhD in Cardiology. During the training period, he visited OCT Core Lab in University Hospitals Cleveland, OH, USA, multiple times - working as a research fellow in intravascular imaging. Following the growing interest in this field, he became an expert in intravascular optical coherence tomography (OCT), training physicians around the region and helping to expand the use of intravascular imaging. Dr. Kanovsky is author or coauthor of multiple publications, focusing on imaging and interventions.
