Dr Boutsikou is a Consultant Cardiologist specialized in Congenital Heart Disease (CHD)and Cardiac Magnetic Resonance (CMR). She is the Director of Cardiac MRI and CT Unit at Mediterraneo Hospital in Athens Greece. She was subspecialized in CHD and CHD Echocardiography and subsequently in CMR at the Royal Brompton Hospital, London UK. She holds level 3 certifications in CMR and in Congenital and pediatric CMR from the European Society of Cardiology (EACVI) as well as from the Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR). She holds a PhD Degree in Cardiology and two Master Degrees, one in Biostatistics and one in Intensive Care Units-Cardiology Nursing. Her research work includes 100 publications, 5 book chapters on Imaging in CHD and more than 150 presentations in National and International Congresses.She has received 15 awards in International Congresses and 2 training Grants for training in CHD and CMR. She is a member of 14 National and International Scientific Societies.
