Biography
Philippe Meyer, MD, PhD is a senior cardiologist at Geneva University Hospitals (HUG), where he has been Associate Senior Physician and Head of the Heart Failure and Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit since 2017. He is also Associate Professor of Cardiology at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Geneva.
He graduated from the University of Geneva Faculty of Medicine in 2000 and obtained FMH postgraduate qualifications in Sports Medicine (2005), Internal Medicine (2007), and Cardiology (2011). Appointed Privat-Docent in 2013, he holds EACVI certification in echocardiography (2014) and completed a CAS in Heart Failure (2015).
His expertise focuses on heart failure, cardiac rehabilitation, cardiovascular prevention, sports cardiology, and echocardiography. A former elite athlete, he represented Switzerland in swimming at the 2000 Summer Olympics. He speaks French, English, and German fluently.
