Anastasiia Filatova graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University, Faculty of Basic Medicine, and completed the two-year residency in cardiology in the Institute of Clinical Cardiology of National Medical Research Center of Cardiology. She is currently a junior research associate of the Laboratory of Cell Immunology in the Institute of Experimental Cardiology of National Medical Research Center of Cardiology (Moscow). Her scientific focus area: inflammatory and immune mechanisms of atherosclerosis progression, in particular, circulating pro- and anti-inflammatory subpopulations of lymphocytes and monocytes in patients with different stages of coronary and carotid atherosclerosis progression and the prognostic value of inflammatory markers in coronary stenting; immunomodulating properties of statins.
