Biography
PD Dr. med. Florian Straube is Senior Consultant (Leitender Oberarzt) and Interventional Electrophysiologist and Cardiologist at the Heart Center Munich-Bogenhausen. He plays a key role in the clinical leadership and strategic development of the department. His clinical and scientific focus lies on catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation, with particular emphasis on persistent AF, including cryoballoon ablation, pulsed field ablation (PFA), and advanced mapping technologies such as ultra-high-density mapping. He obtained his habilitation (venia legendi) in Internal Medicine and Cardiology from LMU Munich in 2019. He is actively involved in the education and training of physicians, fellows, allied professionals, and nursing staff, and serves as reviewer and faculty member at international scientific meetings.
