Doctor Gema Ruiz Hurtado

Gema Ruiz-Hurtado graduated in Biochemistry and Ph.D. degree in Pharmacology and Human Therapeutics. Her research activities have been focused on the study of new molecular targets involved in hypertension, cardiovascular and specially in cardiac damage as a consequence of renal disease. She has a strong experience in the analysis of Ca2+ handling at intracardiomyocyte level using confocal microscopy.
