Biography
Prof. Monika Gawałko, MD, PhD, is a cardiology and EP fellow at the Medical University of Warsaw in Poland.
She is an active member of the EHRA Young EP and serves as a Nucleus Member and Communication Coordinator of the ESC Working Group on e-Cardiology. Her training includes fellowships in Maastricht (the Netherlands), Copenhagen (Denmark), Essen (Germany) and Adelaide (Australia).
Her research is centred on arrhythmias, mainly on atrial fibrillation, and related areas, including risk factors (obesity, nutrition, HFpEF), mobile health solutions and the underlying mechanisms (atrial cardiomyopathy, pericardial adipose tissue, gut microbiome).
