Morten Schou is a cardiologist with subspeciality in Heart Failure and Cardiomyopathies and Echocardiography. He is an experienced cardiovascular epidemiologist and trialist. His research focus on cardio-renal interaction in heart failure and the interplay between type 2 diabetes and heart failure. Morten Schou has participated in several national and international randomized clinical trials in this area. As an epidemiologist, he is working with nationwide administrative Danish registries and has also initiated The Danish Heart Failure Clinical Network Registry and The Copenhagen Heart Failure Risk Study. He has published > 250 peer-reviewed scientific publications and supervised > 25 PhD students.
