Dr. Flavia Kessler Borges is an Internist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, and in the Perioperative Care Division at McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada . She is also an Investigator at the Population Health Research Institute, McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada. Dr. Borges undertook her Masters in Health Sciences, and her PhD in Cardiovascular Sciences in Brazil. She undertook a research and clinical Perioperative Vascular fellowship under the direction of Dr. PJ Devereaux at McMaster University. Her research is focused on periperative cardiac biomarkers, and perioperative strategies to improve cardiovascular outcomes in noncardiac surgery.
