Doctor Josef Stehlik

Josef Stehlik, MD, MPH is Christi T. Smith Professor of Medicine at the University of Utah School of Medicine. He is Co-Chief of the Advanced Heart Failure section and Medical Director of the Heart Transplant Program at the University of Utah Health Center and the Salt Lake City VA Medical Center. Dr. Stehlik has has been active in clinical work, research and education. He serves as Director of the International Thoracic Registry of the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation. He has received extramural research funding in the areas of heart failure, heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support from the American Heart Association, the Veterans Health Administration, the Veterans Affairs Center for Innovation, the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation and other funding agencies. He is author of over 200 peer-reviewed publications and a number of book chapters.
