Ahmed El-Medany is a Cardiology Registrar (ST3) and Academic Clinical Fellow based at the Bristol heart Institute. He has developed a keen interest in Heart failure, Complex device therapy, and Electrophysiology. Since graduating from the University of Edinburgh he has contributed significantly to clinical teaching as an honorary clinical lecturer at Glasgow University; and has obtained a MSc with distinction in Preventive Cardiology from Imperial College, London. He has published several articles as first author in journals such as PLOS ONE, and has previously proved to be an enthusiastic and conscientious leader during his role as Associate College Tutor at NHS Gloucestershire Foundation Trust. Currently, he is investigating autonomic dysfunction following COVID-19 infection with the University of Bristol Cardionomics team.
