C Michael Valentine, MD, MACC, FSCAI
Mike Valentine, MD, FACC, is a senior cardiologist at the Stroobants Cardiovascular Center of
Centra Health in Lynchburg, VA. He has practiced clinical cardiology there since 1990 with expertise in cardiac catheterization and intervention, device placement and arrhythmia therapy, clinical quality, leadership and practice development.He has served as PI in 4 clinical trials, and his practice has been active in over 100.
Dr. Valentine received his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia, where he was named Outstanding Senior, and his medical degree from the University of Virginia. He completed his medical residency and fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Emory University in Atlanta.
He has served many roles in ACC,including President(2018-19),Vice President,Treasurer,and Chair of the Board of Governors
