Biography
Dr Anastasia Mihailidou completed her PhD in cardiovascular pharmacology. She is a clinical scientist at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney running the Cardiology Department Diagnostic Service for Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring. As Head of Cardiovascular & Hormonal Research, Kolling Institute, she engages in both biomedical and clinical research. Anastasia's current research focus is blood pressure measurement and sex differences in hypertension. She has been involved national and international consensus/guideline documents on blood pressure monitoring and editorial boards, including Associate Editor for the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology and Digital Strategy Editor for Hypertension. Her passion for management of hypertension in women was recognised by The Lancet appointing her as one of the Commissioners for their Commission on Cardiovascular Disease in women. Anastasia is also passionate for communicating our science to promote engagement in health by our community
