Biography
Dr Christos Fragoulis is a Consultant Cardiologist at the First Department of Cardiology, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Hippokration General Hospital. Since 2021, he has led the Behavioural Cardiology and Cardiometabolic Units and contributes to the Hypertension and Ergospirometry Unit. He earned his MD in 2009, completed cardiology training in 2020, and obtained his PhD in 2024. His research focuses on preventive cardiology, hypertension, cardiometabolic disease, obesity, behavioural cardiology, and heart failure. Since 2017, he has served as sub-investigator and site coordinator in multiple phase III clinical trials. He is an active member of major European and national cardiology societies. Dr Fragkoulis reviews for leading cardiovascular journals, including the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology, where he received the Distinguished Reviewer Award in 2025, and contributed to the textbook Clinical Cardiology (2022).
