Dr Cormac Kennedy is a Clinical Pharmacologist with a sub-speciality interest in cardiovascular disease prevention. He works as a Consultant Physician in specialist Hypertension and Lipid Clinics. He also provides advice to a number of local and national bodies in the area of appropriate drug use. He has completed a MSc in Health Economics, Outcomes and Management in Cardiovascular Sciences at the London School of Economics which has been highly beneficial for his work in a number of roles. He previously completed a PhD which resulted in a clinical product which he patented and he continues to be involved in clinical research as an Associate Director of the Clinical Research Facility (Clinical Trials Unit) at St James Hospital. He aims to conduct clinically relevant research in the field of cardiovascular prevention and aims to grow an international network to do so.
