Professor Kazuaki Negishi

Prof Kaz Negishi, MD, PhD, MSc is an academic cardiologist and clinical trialist based in Liverpool, NSW, Australia. He is the Chair of Cardiovascular Research at the University of New South Wales, South Western Sydney and Faculty at Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute and Ingham institute and Honorary Professor at the University of Sydney. He is a current National Heart Foundation Future Leader Fellow. He holds FACC, FESC, FAHA, FASE, and FCSANZ. His research areas are 1) therapeutic application of ultrasound (Sonothrombolysis) 2) multimodality Imaging, 3) cardio-oncology), 4) Environmental Cardiology, especially air pollution/heat and CVD. Two of his works (Negishi JASE 2013, EHJ-CVI 2014) were adopted to six international clinical guidelines and recommendations of cardiology/oncology societies.
