Dr. Dimitris Nikas, MD, PhD, is a senior consultant Interventional Cardiologist in the Cardiovascular Department of Ioannina University Hospital, at Ioannina, Greece. For the last 15 years, Dr. Nikas is performing both coronary and peripheral endovascular procedures, in a busy Cath lab providing medical services in large area. Carotid angioplasty, coronary procedures via radial access, TAVR procedures using almost all available devices, and the newly started MitraClip programme, are his main interestets. Dr. Nikas has been participated in many National and International Interventional congresses and many multicenter Interventional trials. Currently, Dr. Nikas is working on the clinical implication of the Acute Stroke Interventions programme in close collaboration with Neurologists and Neuroradiologists.
