He was born in Venice (Italy), June 11 1966. In July 1985 he obtained the diploma of Secondary School at the Liceo Scientifico Istituto Cavanis of Venice. In November 1985 he entered the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Padua. He attended the pre-graduation medical training at the Division of Cardiology of the Policlinico Universitario of Padua from May 1990. On the July 24 1991 he was graduated Medical Doctor at the University of Padua (110/110 cum laude). In 1991 he was qualified to the practise of Medicine and Surgery by the State Examing Commision. In 1992 he won the competition for the admission to the Post-graduate Course in cardiology at the University of Padua. On February 03 1997 he obtained the Diploma of Specialist in Cardiology at the University of Padua (70/70 cum laude). On April 27 2016 he obtained the Ph.D. title in Scienze Mediche, Cliniche e Sperimentali curriculum Scienze Cardiovascolari at the University of Padova
