Doctor Amy Elizabeth Burchell

Dr Amy Burchell is currently a Cardiology Trainee based at the Bristol Heart Institute, she has specialist interests in heart failure, hypertension and echocardiography. Dr Burchell holds accreditation in transthoracic echocardiography with the British Society of Echocardiography and is currently training in stress echocardiography and transoesophageal echocardiography. In February 2019 Dr Burchell graduated from the University of Bristol with a PhD, thesis entitled Renal Denervation for Resistant Hypertension: Predictors of procedural response and efficacy. As part of her interest in hypertension, she has experience in managing patient with young onset and treatment resistant hypertension in the setting of a tertiary hypertension clinic.
