Doctor Pierre Qian

Dr Pierre Qian is a Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellow and PhD student at Westmead Hospital and the University of Sydney, Australia. Dr Qian graduated from the University of New South Wales with MBBS and BSc(med) in 2008, undertook internal medicine and cardiology training at Westmead Hospital, Sydney, Australia, and became a Physician Cardiologist and Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2016. He is an Honorary Postgraduate Fellow in Cardiac Electrophysiology at Westmead Hospital, final year PhD candidate supervised by Dr Aravinda Thiagalingam and A/Prof Stuart Thomas at the University of Sydney, as well as Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellow at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA. Dr Qian’s research areas include ablation biophysics, renal denervation, cardiac arrhythmia management, and biomedical engineering.
