Fernando Montenegro Sá, M. D., is the current head of the Arrhythmia unit for the ULSM - Hospital Pedro Hispano, Portugal, and is an EHRA certified Cardiac Devices Specialist. From 2021 to 2023, he was the Portuguese Young Cardiology Council coordinator. Currently, he is a member of the board of the Portuguese Cardiac Society, being highly involved in areas such as health literacy and social media roles for public disease awareness. After graduating with an MSc in medical informatics, he has been focusing on arrhythmia diagnosis using wearable devices. He is currently also a member of the editorial board of the Portuguese Journal of Cardiology, serving as Associate Editor for Digital Health and AI. Since 2026, he has been a Fellow of the ESC.
