Professor Pablo Avanzas Fernandez

Dr. Avanzas graduated in Medicine at Universidad de Navarra, in Spain. He completed registrar training in Cardiology at Gregorio Marañón Hospital and an European PhD in Complutense University, in Madrid. He was appointed Associate Research Investigator of the Cardiovascular Biology Research Centre at St. George´s Hospital in London. Dr. Avanzas is now senior Interventional Cardiologist in Hospital Universitario Central de Asturias, Oviedo, Spain. His research interest include: structural heart disease, particularly aortic stenosis and TAVI; coronary artery disease and cardiovascular pharmacotherapy.
